A Professional Approach

Wedding photography is a demanding job needing; sensitivity, tact, good humour and flexibility.  As your wedding photographer it is likely that I’ll be at the centre of co-ordinating those others involved; the Groom and his supporters, chauffeur, venue staff, the bridal party and guests.  This requires a practiced professional approach and makes for stress free photography where the photographer never takes over the day.

No two weddings or couples are the same, conscious of this I have developed a flexible approach to my wedding coverage. There are no set packages as such, but I offer guidance on the many options you may choose from.

Whether you prefer images on USB stick, DVD or bespoke albums for you and your family, I have the flexibility and experience to deliver a range of candid reportage style images, plus those more formal “must have shots” that tell the story of your day.

Before Your Wedding:

It is important for us all to meet before the Big Day so that we can get to know one another and be comfortable with the arrangements for the photography on the day.  Together we will discuss your arrangement and agree on the type of coverage you would like.  We’ll also discuss your requirements for the final images; DVD, traditional album, prints or books to mention but a few.

Closer to the date we’ll meet again to discuss in more detail your arrangements, looking at planned timings and group shot combinations.  We can also discuss the opportunities offered by your choice of venue.

On The Day:

For me the wedding starts 24 hours earlier as I check my equipment and ensure that it is ready.  How the day runs photographically will depend on the coverage agreed.  I can cover all aspects from bridal preparations right through to the reception and evening event.

I’ll be working to ensure that those special candid moments are captured and using my tact, patience and good humour with your guests to secure those must have group shots.  Good pre-planning ensures that your wedding remains your special day and does not become just a photo shoot.

After Your Wedding:

In the days immediately after your wedding I spend hours processing and tweaking your images ready for your approval.  This is an important part of the creative process and done according to any preferences you may have for black and white or colour photography.

Images are available on DVD and accessible via and your own online gallery.  Access for you, friends and family is password protected.  Favourite images can also be ordered online.

Shortly after your wedding we may meet again to discuss your album and presentation options further.
